Talk Radio 101.1, Maryland Star Broadcasting, LLC, is accepting resumes/applications for talented, professional broadcasters for a variety of positions, both on staff and internships.
We are currently hiring for:
Sales and Marketing Representatives
Responsible for selling advertising to local, regional, and national businesses. This is a vital position in the broadcasting business. The majority of radio executives come from sales backgrounds. Sales representatives must provide for their own transportation and have excellent communication skills, along with a professional demeanor and appearance. No radio station can function without paying advertisers. Sales representatives are well compensated for their skills in securing commercial buys.
We have no current openings, but are always accepting applications/resumes for future reference for the following positions:
On-Air Personalities
WQMR-FM is a talk station, and has need for on-air personalities. Talk radio is a powerful medium, and articulate, bright, on-air talent in intriguing ideas and outstanding "people skills" are always in demand.
Operations and Production Specialists
WQMR-FM offers the best nationally syndicated talk programs in America. These shows come to the station via satellite. Technically-adept personnel are responsible for the timing and airing of these programs. Production personnel, normally highly creative individuals, will work with the programming and sales departments in the creation of original commercials for the local and regional advertisers.
Internships
We always welcome internships at Talk Radio 101.1 FM WQMR
Individuals seeking to broaden their skills and knowledge of commerical broadcast radio are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will work with on-air, operations, and sales professionals, and will gain a firm working knowledge of modern broadcast procedures, equipment, standards, and industry trends.
